Practicing gratitude can change the way you view the world. It can make you feel happier, more calm and connected. By practicing gratitude we become aware of the things we do have, rather than those we are missing, and begin to feel a deeper appreciation for our lives.

If you are looking to incorporate a gratitude practice into your routine, here are three quick and easy steps on how to do this.

  1. Notice the things you have in your life and pay attention to the good, positive things. Try to appreciate them.
  2. Begin to notice the things you might take for granted everyday. It could be as big as having a vehicle to take you to work, or as small as the sunlight that wakes you up each morning.
  3. Express this gratitude in a real way. A great way to start would be to write down three things you are grateful for each week. Start increasing this frequency over time.

True gratitude can make you feel more fulfilled and happy without changing anything in your life at all! Give it a try and let us know how you feel.
