There are many reasons for why we might have a mood swing, however the most serious reason is having a mental health condition like bipolar disorder which causes mood wings. Mood swings can vary in duration, from brief moments of emotional fluctuation to more prolonged episodes that may last days, weeks, or even months. The severity of mood swings can also range from mild and manageable to severe and disruptive to daily life.
