COVID-19 is impacting almost every country in the world and causing extreme hardship and suffering for many. Many organizations are working to provide humanitarian aid such as food, water, protective equipment, and medicines to people most at risk. These are a few of the organizations we love who are responding to the COVID-19 crisis. Consider showing them some love with a donation.

Save the Children

All over the world, STC is rapidly adapting their existing work to prepare for outbreaks of COVID-19 in countries with weakened health systems or with limited capacity to respond. This includes distributing hygiene materials to help children and their families protect themselves from COVID-19 and sharing essential information so families are accurately informed about how to stay healthy.

UNICEF is focused on the health of children and their parents and caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic. With schools having closed in over 140 countries, affecting over one billion learners, UNICEF is focused on finding ways to help children keep learning through online classes and radio broadcasts. UNICEF has also provided personal protective equipment and training to health workers to keep them safe as they help others.

CARE is scaling up their COVID-19 response including providing soap and disinfectant to healthcare facilities and families; disseminating accurate prevention information; installing handwashing stations in schools, markets and other public places; and addressing food and clean water shortages and other economic impacts of pandemic-related shutdowns.

Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders is caring for patients, offering health education and mental health support, and providing training for COVID-19 control measures in medical facilities around the world.

International Rescue Committee

The IRC has launched a global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on reaching refugees and people living in conflict zones. IRC has created a real-time risk categorization index and is delivering lifesaving care.

ActionAid is a humanitarian nonprofit organization distributing sanitation kits, ration kits, and cash transfers to families in India during the COVID-19 pandemic.
